Punch list template

Construction punch list template for contractors

A good punch list template keeps issues clear, assigned, and ready to close. WalkPunch starts from the same structure, then builds it from your narrated job-site walkthrough video.

01

What to include in a construction punch list

At minimum, each item needs a location, trade, task description, priority, status, owner or subcontractor, and evidence when available.

Project name, address, client, and job number
Room or area, with enough detail for a subcontractor to find the issue
Trade assignment such as plumbing, electrical, drywall, tile, paint, or carpentry
Priority and sequence so urgent or dependency-blocking work is clear
Photo or video evidence for context before the subcontractor arrives
02

Where manual templates slow down

Word and Excel templates are useful for small lists, but the admin work adds up when a walkthrough produces dozens of items.

You still have to transcribe field notes after the walkthrough
Photos and notes often get separated from the item they explain
Grouping by trade usually becomes a second round of spreadsheet work
Sending separate scopes to subcontractors takes more copy-paste
03

How WalkPunch replaces the spreadsheet pass

Upload the walkthrough, review the draft punch list, edit anything that needs a human call, then export or email trade-specific PDFs.

AI extracts punch items from your narration
Items are classified by trade, priority, and suggested sequence
Evidence frames are captured from the video around the moment you mention the issue
Nothing is sent until you review and approve it
